How pricing works: full-size cable vs 2-tower

Full-size cable: shared time tickets

A full-size cable is a loop of usually five towers that tows several riders at once. You buy time (2 hours, 4 hours or all day) and share the cable with everyone else, which makes the price per hour lower the longer you stay. At Lumlukka and ESC, for example, 2 hours costs 850 THB, 4 hours 1,150 THB and all day 1,350 THB. At Zanook it is 850 THB, 950 THB and 1,250 THB, and at Phuket Wake Park 950 THB for 2 hours, 1,400 THB for 4 hours and 1,600 THB all day.

2-tower (System 2.0): pay per hour, often private

A 2-tower cable runs back and forth on a straight line, and the operator sets the speed. These parks usually charge by the hour, and often your group has the line to itself. Lakehouse CNX, for example, charges 1,350 THB per hour for a private cable that covers 2 beginners or 2-3 riders, or 2,300 THB for 2 hours with up to 4 beginners. Split between a group, this can work out cheaper than it looks. Coaching is usually part of the price at Neverdry, WakeGarden and Lakehouse.

Club cards, passes and memberships

Thai Wake Park (Lumlukka and ESC) has the most detailed scheme:

  • Club Card membership: 995 THB per year (495 THB for Thai residents), or free after 3 beginner lessons or low-speed sessions.
  • Club Card ride prices: 2 hours costs 510 THB on weekdays or 625 THB at weekends, compared with 850 THB without a card.
  • Lady Day: 395 THB with a Club Card (Tuesdays at Lumlukka, Thursdays at ESC, Fridays at Pattaya).
  • Punch cards: 5 visits for 3,950 THB, 10 for 6,950 THB, or 25 for 14,875 THB.
  • Unlimited: 5,500 THB per week, 15,950 THB per month, or 29,950 THB per year.

Zanook members pay from 490 THB for 2 hours on weekdays. Taco Lake has multi-visit passes, but we could not confirm the current prices, so ask at the counter.

  4. Split a private cable. Lakehouse CNX's 2-hour private cable covers up to 4 beginners.
  5. Choose Taco Lake for long days. 600 THB covers the whole day including night, and spectators don't pay.
