Zanook Wake Park
ThaiWakeClub review
Zanook is the rare full-size cable inside Bangkok's city limits, tucked into Bang Bon on the Thonburi side, about 15 minutes from Central Rama 2. Based on official information and our research, it runs a full-length Rixen cable (directories mention five towers; confirm with the park) with nine-plus features: kickers, a bank, a ledge, a banana rail, a bumper and an A-frame funbox. That is a proper progression park, not a training pond.
The pricing is the other headline. As of October 2026, walk-up rates are 850 THB for 2 hours, 950 for 4 hours and 1,250 for the day, and members ride from 490 THB for 2 hours on weekdays. For west-side Bangkok riders who want to ride often, that is hard to beat. Non-riders are covered too, with an inflatable aqua park, SUP, pickleball and a restaurant.
The trade-offs: there is no dedicated beginner cable, so first-timers learn on the main line with basic dock coaching, and there are no floodlit night sessions. Weekday opening is 11:30, so morning riders need a weekend. There is no online booking either, so you contact the park by phone, LINE or its website form.
One important caveat: Zanook appears active in 2026 directories, but we did not find a first-party 2026 update, so its status is marked "confirm". Message the park before you travel. If it is running, it is the best-value full cable for riders who live west of the river.

History & story
Zanook sits on a freshwater lake in Bang Bon on the Thonburi side, one of very few full-size cables inside Bangkok's own city limits. We found no reliable founding date or ownership history, but it has always sold itself as a full day out: in 2021 that meant SUP, yoga, a boxing gym, a water slide and a bar on the water, and today the site lists cable skiing, paddleboarding and pickleball. It suits families and friend groups on the west side of the city. The park's latest first-party news dates from April 2025, so confirm with the park before you go.

Status check first
Zanook is listed as operating in 2026 directories, and its official site still shows current hours and prices. However, the newest first-party post we found dates from April 2025, and we could not see a 2026 update from the park itself. ThaiWakeClub therefore marks Zanook as "confirm": message the park on LINE, by phone (02 104 9053) or through its Facebook page before you travel.
Background and history
Zanook sits on a freshwater lake at 77 Bang Bon 3 Road in Bang Bon, on the Thonburi side of the city. That makes it one of the very few full-size cables inside Bangkok's own city limits, rather than out in Pathum Thani or Samut Prakan. We found no reliable founding date or ownership history. The official site's footer dates to 2020, and its blog includes a 2020 feature on Thai pro rider Deedy Kraisuwansarn and an April 2025 "PlayDay" event.
Zanook has always pitched itself as a day out as much as a training spot. A 2021 Wongnai roundup listed wakeboarding alongside SUP, yoga, a boxing gym, a water slide and a bar out on the water. The current site lists cable skiing, stand-up paddling and pickleball.
The cable and features in detail
The main line is a full-size cable running clockwise, which is unusual in Thailand, where most big cables run counter-clockwise. Waketricks lists it as a German Rixen system, while one directory page says Sesitec, so the make is not settled. A reviewer quoted by a directory mentions five towers; confirm with the park.
Waketricks counts 9+ features: kickers, a bank, a ledge, a banana rail, a bumper and an A-frame funbox. That is a solid intermediate park. Directory write-ups note that riders after the most advanced features tend to head to Lumlukka instead. There is no separate beginner cable; first-timers get basic coaching on the start dock (source: official site) and then share the main line. An inflatable aqua park floats on the same lake for non-riders and kids.
Rules and what to know before you go
As of October 2026, the official site lists 850 THB for 2 hours, 950 THB for 4 hours and 1,250 THB for the day. Members pay 490 / 690 / 790 THB on weekdays and 590 / 790 / 890 THB on weekends. Directories say a board, vest and helmet are included; confirm with the park. Hours are 11:30 to 20:30 on weekdays and 09:00 to 20:30 on weekends and public holidays (one directory says 20:00). There is no night riding.
There is no online booking, so arrange visits through the contact form, phone or LINE. Waketricks lists showers, a restaurant, coffee and free parking. No minimum age or swimming requirement is published; one family-travel site suggests the park suits children over six, but confirm with the park. BTS Wutthakat is the nearest rail station, followed by a short taxi ride.
What reviewers often say
Reviews on Google (about 4.6 from roughly 320 reviews, per Wake Parks Thailand) often mention a welcoming, well-equipped park, helpful staff, fair prices and a setup that works for both beginners and improving riders. The aqua park gets a lot of goodwill from families. A September 2025 tour listing likewise reports that guests praise the clear explanations from staff and the variety of obstacles in a tropical lakeside setting.
The overall picture is a relaxed, mixed-age crowd, closer to a day out than a training session. It is popular with birthday parties and company outings. Weekday afternoons after the 11:30 opening are described as the quiet window, while weekends fill up from mid-morning.
Recent news and events (2025-2026)
The most recent first-party news we could verify is the April 2025 PlayDay event posted on the official blog. Since then, Zanook has appeared in 2026 directory roundups and a September 2025 bookable tour listing, but not in any 2026 news coverage we could find. One undated family-travel article claims Zanook hosts an annual national wake park championship; we could not confirm this from any other source. If you are planning around an event, ask the park directly. For more west-side and budget options, see our Bangkok wakeboarding guide.
Plan your visit
- Best time
- Weekend mornings from 09:00 give you the coolest air; on weekdays, late afternoon until the 20:30 close avoids the midday heat.
- How long
- Book 2 hours for a first visit; the 4-hour ticket costs only 100 THB more if you want a long session.
- What to bring
- Sunscreen, a rash guard, sandals and a change of clothes; there are showers on site, but bring your own towel.
Tips
- Message the park on LINE or call 02 104 9053 first to confirm it is open
- The 4-hour ticket (950 THB) is barely more than the 2-hour one (850 THB)
- Ask about membership if you ride regularly: weekday 2-hour member sessions are 490 THB
- First-timers should be ready to learn on the main cable with dock coaching

FAQ
Is Zanook Wake Park open in 2026?

How much does Zanook cost?
As of October 2026, regular tickets are 850 THB for 2 hours, 950 THB for 4 hours and 1,250 THB for the day. Members pay from 490 THB for 2 hours on weekdays and 590 THB on weekends.

Can I ride at night at Zanook?
No floodlit night sessions are listed; riding ends at the 20:30 close. For night riding, look at Thai Wake Park Lumlukka or our night wakeboarding guide.
