ThaiWakeClub review
WakeGarden opened in February 2026 opposite Mega Bangna, and it was built with one job in mind: getting first-timers standing up. Based on official information and our research, it runs a 2-tower System 2.0 cable where the operator controls the speed, so beginners can start slow and build up. The park's own promise is that if you have not stood up within five attempts, the coaching continues.
Everything is booked by the hour online, and board, vest, helmet, handle and beginner coaching are included. As of October 2026, the official rates are 800 THB per hour for the 09:00–13:00 morning slot, 900 THB for midday and holiday slots and 1,200 THB at the regular rate. The website supports digital-wallet payment with a 48-hour cancellation window. It is open daily 09:00–21:00, so after-work sessions are possible (confirm evening lighting with the park).
Location is the other big win. It is about 20 minutes from Suvarnabhumi, next to Mega Bangna and IKEA, so it slots easily into a shopping day or a layover. Taco Lake is only about 10 minutes away if you want a full-size cable next.
The limits are clear. There is currently one kicker, with a second, bigger obstacle reported under construction in April 2026 (confirm with the park). Facilities are simple, with a food and drinks kiosk and straw-hut shade, and paying by the hour adds up for long sessions. As a first-lesson park on the east side of Bangkok, it is one of the best options in 2026.

History & story
WakeGarden is the newest park on our list, opened on 23 February 2026 opposite Mega Bangna. Founder Tiwakon 'James' Kulprasuddiruk took up wakeboarding at 16 and spent years wanting a park of his own; he chose the site after weighing traffic, catchment, competition and land prices. As a Neverdry partner he runs the same 2-tower system found at several newer parks. Within two months of opening, several riders had progressed to air raleys here. A few minutes from Taco Lake, it makes the Bang Na corner an easy two-park day, and suits beginners who want a short, forgiving line close to Sukhumvit.

Background and history
WakeGarden is the newest park on our list. It opened on 23 February 2026 on Soi Mooban Rattanathanee, directly opposite Mega Bangna, technically in Bang Phli, Samut Prakan, though it is marketed as Bang Na. It was founded by Tiwakon "James" Kulprasuddiruk, who took up wakeboarding at 16 and spent years wanting a park of his own. In an April 2026 interview he explained that he picked the site after weighing traffic, catchment, nearby competition and land prices (source: Wake Parks Thailand).
The location puts it about 30 minutes by Grab from Sukhumvit or On Nut and a few minutes from Taco Lake. That makes the Bang Na corner a handy two-park day: learn on WakeGarden's short line, then try a full-size loop at Taco.
The cable and features in detail
This is not a full-size loop. WakeGarden runs a single two-tower System 2.0 cable that goes straight out and back, with the operator controlling speed and able to slow or stop the rope on demand. James is a partner in Neverdry, the Thai builder of these two-tower rigs, and his team installed the cable themselves; he has also helped set up similar lines at other parks.
The short, repeatable lane suits two groups: complete beginners, and intermediate riders drilling one trick over and over. As of April 2026 there was a single kicker, with a second, pro-level obstacle under construction. Waketricks now lists a kicker plus spine, pool and gap elements, which suggests the build has progressed, but confirm the current set-up with the park. The interview notes that within two months of opening, several riders had progressed to air raleys here.
Rules and what to know before you go
WakeGarden sells riding by the hour through its own booking site, which is open 24 hours and includes a digital wallet, loyalty tiers and refunds for cancellations made at least 48 hours ahead. Board, vest, helmet and handle are included, and beginners get coaching. The park advertises a promise to keep coaching until a first-timer stands, aiming for within five attempts.
As of October 2026, rates run by time slot: about 800 THB an hour for morning slots (09:00-13:00), 900 THB for midday holiday slots and 1,200 THB at the regular rate. The 50% soft-opening promotion ended on 31 March 2026. The official site lists daily hours of 09:00 to 21:00, while one directory still shows an 18:00 close, so confirm evening slots when booking. Age limits, swimming requirements and food rules are not published; confirm with the park.
What reviewers often say
The review base is still small. Wake Parks Thailand showed a perfect 5.0 on Google from only about 15 to 22 reviews, so treat it as an early signal rather than a settled verdict. Reviews so far focus on the operator-controlled speed, which helps first-timers get up quickly, along with attentive one-to-one coaching and a relaxed setting. Straw-roof huts give shade, and a drinks kiosk and seating suit friends watching from the bank.
The main limitation, noted in the directory write-ups rather than complaints, is scale. A single straight lane with one rider at a time is great for learning but no substitute for a full cable if you want long laps and a big obstacle line.
Recent news and events (2025-2026)
2026 has been WakeGarden's opening year. It soft-launched in February with half-price sessions until the end of March, then moved to its time-slot pricing. In April a directory reported that a rider had landed an air raley on day one of training here. The second pro-level obstacle was still being built at that time. Longer opening hours were flagged as coming, and the official site now shows 21:00 closing. For beginner planning, see our beginner guide and cable vs boat explainer.
Plan your visit
- Best time
- The 09:00–13:00 morning slot is the cheapest (800 THB/h) and cooler; late afternoons are good once the sun drops.
- How long
- One hour is enough for a first lesson; most beginners are standing and riding the line within that time.
- What to bring
- Sunscreen, a rash guard, sandals and a change of clothes; bring a towel, as shower facilities are not confirmed.
Tips
- Book the morning slot online to save 400 THB per hour against the regular rate
- Cancel at least 48 hours ahead if your plans change
- Pair it with Mega Bangna or IKEA, which are right across the road
- Once you can ride the line, try the full-size cable at Taco Lake, about 10 minutes away
