Max Milde is the reigning IWWF Open Men cable world champion. The German rider, born in 2002 and from Duisburg, won the 2026 title at Shunyi Olympic Cable Park in Beijing. The IWWF said he reclaimed the crown in a final decided by less than a point: he scored 78.67, just ahead of Gavin Stuckey's 78.00.

His first world title came on Thai water. At the 2022 IWWF World Cable Championships at ESC Thai Wake Park on the northern edge of Bangkok, he won the Open Men final with 87.00, ahead of the Philippines' Raph Trinidad and Thailand's Peeranat Faktongyu. Two years later, at the 2024 Worlds in Paris, he finished sixth.

At The World Games 2025 in Chengdu he took silver behind France's Loïc Deschaux, with fellow German Florian Weiherer in bronze; German magazine Boote reported that he led after the first run and finished 2.2 points off gold. According to his IWWF rider profile, he goes by 'Mad Max' and names O'Brien Germany, Jetpilot, the Bundeswehr and Sporthilfe as sponsors.
