Gavin Stuckey, from Orlando, Florida, made his IWWF World Cable Championships debut in Beijing in 2026, according to the IWWF, and came within 0.67 points of the title. His 78.00 in the Open Men final left him second to Germany's Max Milde, who scored 78.67. The event drew 173 athletes from 30 countries to Shunyi Olympic Cable Park.

He arrived with a long list of pro-tour titles. At the WWA Wake Park World Championships he won Features in 2021, Urban in 2023, and both Park and Wakeskate in 2024 at Gold Coast Wake Park in Australia. A Liquid Force team report says he also won Park and Features in 2025 at Shark Wake Park in Florida.

Liquid Force, which lists him as a team rider, reported that he was named Alliance Wakeboarding's Rider of the Year for 2024. Unleashed magazine describes him as a technical rider whose video parts include 'Status', 'Grounded', 'Fortyeight' and 'Trilogy'. His brother, Trent Stuckey, is also a WWA wake park world champion.
